MISSION STATEMENT
We recognize that we
in America, as well as
throughout the Free World,
are in a life-and-death war with
Islam, a pernicious philosophy
masquerading as a benign
religion. We refuse to
accept death, destruction, or
dhimmitude, all of which
Islamists seek through their
jihad. We fully accept
that this is a war with Islam
and will be won or lost as a WAR OF IDEAS.
Our mission is to fight that war
with correct ideas. Thus,
we stand for reality, reason,
individual rights and rational
self-interest, and the only
social-political system which
comes from and supports these
tenets: CAPITALISM.
Our orientation is that of
Objectivism, the philosophy of
Ayn Rand, which is the only
complete philosophy in existence
supporting the supremacy of
reality, reason as an absolute,
rational individualism, and
laissez faire capitalism.

Column Against Jihad
fights for America and against
Islam.
Islam is a thoroughly
anti-American ideology
which masquerades as a "great
religion." Islamic forces
have declared war on America and wage
it directly through Jihad, their
so-called "holy war," at
home and abroad. Indirectly,
Fifth Column forces here at home
support Jihad at our expense.
These are subversive Islamic
forces, fellow travelers and
sympathizers, as well as
anti-Americans in positions of
power and influence
in government, academia, and in
journalistic media inside the
United States of America.
They work to weaken, if
not permanently, damage us.
The term, "fifth column" or
"fifth columnists" has long
referred to secret or
subversive groups seeking to
undermine the efforts of
others to promote their own
ends, even bringing down a
country from inside. The term
came into use in 1936, during
the Spanish Civil War, when
Franco supporters and
sympathizers worked
subversively, inside Madrid,
supporting the four columns of
military
troops directly attacking the
city.
America's
Fifth Column in this war
against Islam comes from diverse
sources:
- In
America illegally:
Unknown to the
Immigration and
Naturalization Service,
overstaying visas, and
perpetrators.

Legals: Students and
others who have followed
USA visa and immigration
laws, and those born in
America but are not
patriots.
Converts: U.S.
Citizens recruited to
Islam.

Anti-Americans: The
American Left,
including those persons
in political power, in
journalism, and
throughout academia.
-
Pro-Americans: The
American Right and
Center who remain
woefully ignorant about
Islam and/or those who
are hung up at the
religious
barrier--people
unable to see the truth
because they
consider all religion as
immune to critical
scrutiny. They comfort
themselves with notions
that terrorism comes
from "radical" Muslims.
We at
6th Column Against
Jihad are
American patriots from various
professional backgrounds --
medical, administrative,
educational, military, and so
on. We are mature adults. Some
of us were born before World War
II and have been aware of
significant current
events beginning with the Korean
War. Some were in the military
during the Vietnam War. Mostly,
we spent
decades pursuing various
careers. Some of us are now
retired, and we have taken up
anti-Jihad. Each author's brief

The events of
11 September 2001 changed us
all. Prior to that, most of us
regarded the JFK assassination
and the moon landing as the
time-stopping events in our
lives, the ones we remembered in
greatest detail. Since 1970, we
have lived through
aggression coming from the Middle
East. We were too slow to
grasp the significance of this
aggression. While we never liked the
government's tepid responses to
this aggression, from the
Marines in Beirut to the sailors
on the U.S.S. Cole, in
retrospect, we must share some
responsibility. We failed
getting to know our enemy
properly, and we failed to take
on that enemy with the proper
seriousness. 9-11-2001 changed
all of that for all of us.
We have
learned the nature of our
enemy. We are not naive enough
to mouth the current "sing-along"
that sugar-coats terrorists as
distorters of the tenets of
a "great religion" known as
Islam. We dug in and found out
that Islam is not hard to
understand. In fact, it is so
clear, that we cannot evade the
truth. That truth is that the
enemy is ISLAM, all of Islam,
all of the time. Islam is as
bad, if not worse, than Nazism,
for all the same fundamental
reasons.
In fact, we
have found that if one does a
couple of simple mental
transpositions, one can bring
real clarity to the Islam versus
America issue. Substituting
"Nazi" for "Muslim" and "Nazism"
for "Islam," lets anyone start
"getting it."
In 6th
Column Against Jihad,
we engage the fight right where
it will be won or lost: On the
field of ideas. We stress the
principles and philosophic
issues behind Islam itself and
the Fifth Columnists
here at home. We dedicate this
site to exposing Islam and Jihad
for what they are and to
exposing the Fifth Columns
undercutting America.
An important question comes up: Who fights this war with
us?
When America goes to war, we select soldiers
by criteria which include
persons of diverse backgrounds,
who are willing to fight under
the American flag, willing to
defend the Constitution of the
United States of America, and
willing to uphold the basic
principles of America of
individual freedom and
capitalism. Those who are
religious are not rejected
because they belong to this or
that particular religion, or
just believe in God. Nor do we
reject the non-religious. We
do, however, exclude those who
do not meet the loyalty
criteria.
We use a similar hierarchy of
principles. We who own and run
this site are not religious. As
Objectivists, we are atheists.
We advocate the primacy of
reason; that is, we accept that
for which there is logical
evidence. Thomas Jefferson, a
major Founder, stated that it
did not matter to him whether
someone believed in twenty gods
or none; it did, however, matter
to him whether someone advocated
reason.
Religion can never substitute for a proper and
complete philosophy.
In this
war, however, we can make
common cause on the basis of the values and
virtues which unite us under the
Constitution of the United
States of America. We focus on the
war against Islam
and America;
as long as authors approach this
focus rationally, we can link arms
with them as fellow team members
and publish them. We reserve
the right to express
disagreement, but we cherish the
freedom of speech guaranteed us
to share and debate ideas. Such
debate would be impossible under
Islam.
We are a
Sixth Column. We are sounding the tocsin for Americans who want to
preserve and protect our way of
life.
Islamists love the war chant, "Allahu
Akbar!" This means, "Allah
is greater." Greater than
what? They mean greater than
the Judeo-Christian God. Since
we intend to take their weapons
from them, we take their chant
and make it our own:
AMERICA AKBAR!
